What Is a Red Light Therapy Pod?
A red light therapy pod is a full-body device that surrounds you with LED light while you lie down. Unlike a flat mat or a fixed panel, the InfraHeal Pod has two identical light surfaces, one beneath you and one above, so your front and back are covered in the same session. There is no need to turn over or reposition halfway through.

The InfraHeal Pod combines four wavelengths across 2,440 LEDs: 630nm and 660nm red light, plus 850nm and 940nm near-infrared light. Red and near-infrared wavelengths are used together in red light therapy because they reach the body at different depths, so one session covers both the surface and deeper tissue from head to toe.

Both are designed for full-body sessions while lying down. The InfraHeal Red Light Mat is a single flat surface you lie on, so it lights one side of the body at a time. Understanding Wavelengths and Irradiance
Wavelength is the colour of the light, measured in nanometres (nm). Red light (630 to 660nm) is visible, while near-infrared (850 to 940nm) is mostly invisible to the eye. Irradiance is how much light energy reaches the skin, measured in mW/cm². The InfraHeal Pod has a listed irradiance of 158.4 mW/cm² measured at 3 inches. Irradiance figures depend on the distance they are measured at, so always compare devices at the same distance.
Using a Red Light Therapy Pod at Home
Lay the Pod flat on a bed or the floor, plug it in and choose your session time on the controller, from 1 to 30 minutes. Then lie inside, relax and let the timer do the rest. It's an easy way to build a consistent full-body routine, whether that's after training, at the end of the workday or before bed. How to use your red light therapy mat
- Set up: lay the Mat flat on a bed, couch, floor or massage table and plug it in. To use it standing, hang it on a door with the included door hanging set.
- Set up: lay the Pod flat on a bed or the floor and plug it in.
- Session: set the timer on the controller, then lie on the Mat with the area uncovered. Turn over, or lie under the Mat, to cover the front of your body.

- Time: 10–30 minutes, once a day. Start with 10 minutes and build up. Consistency matters more than session length.

What do 4 wavelengths and patent pending mean?

Does it get hot?
No. The Mat and Pod emit red and near-infrared light, not far-infrared heat like an infrared sauna. Most people feel a gentle, soothing warmth during a session rather than sauna-style heat.

Can two people use it?
Yes. The Pod unfolds flat so two people can lie on it at the same time, and both the Mat and the Pod can be shared by the whole household, with each person having their own session.
Can I use it sitting or standing?
The Mat can be used lying down, sitting against it, or hung on a door with the included door hanging set for standing sessions. The Pod is designed for lying down, so it can cover your front and back at once.
Do I need eye protection?
No, eye protection isn't essential. The Mat and Pod are safe to use without it. We don't advise staring directly into the LEDs while the device is switched on, as the bright light can feel uncomfortable, so simply keep your eyes closed during your session.
If you're sensitive to light, you may find our InfraHeal protective glasses more comfortable. They're optional.
Will it work in my country?
Yes. The Mat and Pod run on 100–240V, and power adapters are available for Australia, the US, Canada, the UK, Europe and other regions.
Do they emit EMF?

When will I notice a difference?
Everyone is different. Many people say they feel relaxed after their first few sessions. Changes to skin, recovery or wellbeing build up over time, so we recommend daily use for at least 4–8 weeks to see how it works for you.
Is it safe, and who should check with their doctor first?
Red and near-infrared light do not emit harmful ultraviolet (UV) light, so they don't tan or burn your skin. The Mat and Pod are included on the ARTG, FDA listed and made under ISO 13485 certified quality standards.
Please speak with your doctor or healthcare professional before use if you're pregnant, take medication that increases sensitivity to light, or have a medical condition.
How do I clean and store it?
Unplug it first, then wipe the surface with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Don't submerge it in water. Store it somewhere dry, following the storage guidance in your user manual.
