Meet The Founder
“I noticed how red light therapy was helping so many people during my time as a remedial therapist”
InfraHeal was founded by Alan Magusara, a registered Remedial Therapist and Sports Nutritionist based in QLD, Australia, who has worked in the health industry since 2015. He graduated at Griffith University with a degree in Psychological Science and completed further qualifications in Sports Therapy & Nutrition. He has worked in a vast range of clinical settings, as well as recovery and wellness centres. Unfortunately during this time, he was hit with debilitating flare ups of his lifelong condition of eczema, on top of experiencing injuries and constant muscular aches from living a highly active lifestyle and competing in national level bodybuilding. During his years as a therapist at various wellness centres and clinics, he noticed that many people were using the infrared saunas weekly and were coming in raving about how much they love it. With an inquisitive mind, Alan began incorporating red & infrared light therapy into his lifestyle and had also gone into a deep dive into the scientific backing behind the effects of light therapy as a whole, looking into existing research and learning about the effects of both red and infrared light on various conditions. He began using infrared saunas regularly and trialling smaller portable devices to use at home for his eczema. He was astounded by the research and how much red and infrared light therapy have positively impacted his overall wellness, through decreasing muscle aches and fatigue and feeling more energized, as well as significantly reducing skin inflammation from regular sessions.
But how can more people find relief at home?
Whilst being a full-time therapist, Alan came across so many people suffering from pain and skin issues daily, who were also spending thousands every year to take hours of their time for various treatments to meet their health goals and manage chronic symptoms.
This led to his question: “How can more people experience the benefits of red & infrared light from home, at a fraction of the cost?”
Filling the gap with Portable Red-Infrared Light Devices
Alan was determined to find a solution that could allow people to have portable red-infrared light devices in the comfort of their own home and worked towards finding the right manufacturer who could offer devices of the highest quality and with wavelengths and design that were safe to use, certified to global standards and backed by science. Alan began selling red-infrared light devices online and in his clinic to provide people with the best portable red-infrared light technology for at-home therapy, as an optional alternative to expensive regular sessions at clinics & wellness centres.
His vision and mission was to help improve people's overall health and wellbeing with natural light, hence the birth of InfraHeal and its motto:
